Alexandra Yearbooks Archive

Yearbooks are how schools traditionally document the students, staff and significant events of their school year. Our school has over a 100 year history and this website serves as an archive of our Yearbooks. Since Alexandra has this long and honoured history it was felt that publishing the older yearbooks on our website would help our community recognize those that came before us. Unfortunately, due to the ravages of time and changes in staff, focus and district plans most of our High School Yearbooks, pre 1955, are no longer available to us. If you discover old copies of Alexandra High School, Alexandra Composite High School, Alexandra Junior High School or perhaps even Alexandra Primary School Yearbooks and newsletters (we not sure if any of Primary editions were produced) that are not part of our collection we would appreciate it if you would allow us to borrow it so that we may scan it and post it on-line. Please be patient as we have just begun to develop this archive and it will take time to scan, edit and post the Yearbooks. Please note that due to privacy concerns, we will only post on-line those Yearbooks that are over 25 years old.

In order to include pictures and events that occur in late June the final draft of the Yearbook is not sent to the publisher until early July. Consequently, the Yearbooks are still at the publisher until mid October or later. We normally receive these books before Hallowe'en. Once they arrive at our school we will hand them out to our grade 8's (last year's 7's) and we will go to MHHS to hand them out to the grade 9's (our last year's 8's).

We will mail out the Yearbooks to those students who provided us with a large self addressed stamped shipping envelope. Once we are sure that we have distriibuted all the Yearbooks to the students who paid for them we sell the left overs. If you want a copy of last year's Yearbook you may contact our school office and ask that your name and phone number be placed on the waiting list. After this any remaining books are then sold on a first come, first serve basis.
