Biography

Thelma Cowan has worked for the City of Medicine Hat for 20 years, first, with special needs programming and then as a supervisor for the City Day Home program and Child Development Centres. In 1994 Thelma started the Community Worker Program in the Flats area and worked out of Elm St. School, moving to the Hill area, in August 2007. In her spare time Thelma enjoys baking and walking (because of the baking) and reading.
As in baking, life needs good ingredients, empathy is one of them.
