Biography

Mrs. Jans taught in the Stay in School Program at the YMCA Community Learning Centre from 1999-2003. Previous to this teaching assignment, Mrs. Jans taught English Language Arts at Crescent Heights High School. In April of 2004 Mrs. Jans returned from her maternity LOA to teach at Alexandra. While at Alexandra, Mrs. Jans has taught mainly grade seven Hummanities including Language Arts, Social Studies, Art, Drama and Information Processing.

She graduated from the University of Lethbridge in the spring of 1997 where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in English as well as a Bachelor of Education. Mrs. Jans and her family run a family farm South of Medicine Hat where they raise hay, grain and cattle. In her spare time Mrs. Jans enjoys swimming for fitness, raising and riding Quarter Horses and spending time with her husband, son Ty and daughter, Julie-Ann.
