Monica Rieder was in her ninth year of teaching. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree, majoring in Biological Sciences from the University of Lethbridge. She started her teaching career in a K-9 school in St. Albert and then spent the next several years at D.A. Ferguson Middle School in Taber teaching Math and First Aid. She joined our school in 2000 and in September of 2004 Mrs. Rieder became the head of the Math/Science Department at Alexandra Junior High School.

She was not hard to notice around the school as she was usually carrying a bottle of water or diet Pepsi with her wherever she went!

Mrs. Rieder enjoys golfing, skiing, and gardening in her free time.
