Mr. Peters has been teaching at AJHS since September 2000. He received his Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees, both with distinction, from the University of Lethbridge. Jason is presently teaching Humanities 8, Drama 7 and 8, and Grade 7 and 8 Novel Studies. Jason is also involved in Alexandra's AISI project, focusing on creating a community of learners. In September 2007 Mr. Peter became the Second Vice-Principal at Alexandra.

Mr. Peters became the School District's Director of Student Services in August of 2009. On February 25, 2010 Mr. Peters was appointed Principal of Alexandra.

Mr. Peters enjoyed being involved in the athletics program in the school and the community. He officiated high-school volleyball, coached the Senior Girls Basketball Team at AJHS and also coached SEA-VC Club Volleyball.

Along with spending time with his wife and young family, playing golf, volleyball, hockey, tennis and leading music at church are activities that he enjoys. Mr. Peters is currently completeing his Masters at U of A.
