Language Arts with 7A and 7B
Each Language Arts period will start with about ten minutes of silent reading. Students are expected to bring a novel to read. Each term students will complete one project on the novel that they have read.
Thursday September 25
- Reading of novel Nkwala and class discussion.
Friday September 26
- Continue reading the novel Nkwala
- Beginning to discuss how to write a proper paragraph. We will be going over the different parts of a paragraph and will work as a class to develop an example paragraph using the proper structure.
Monday September 29
- Read Nkwala - Pages 62-70
Tuesday September 30
- Read Nkwala - Pages 70-80
Monday October 6
- Discussed as a class how to use TPEC as an outline tool for paragraphs. We watched a short cartoon and did the brainstorming and TPEC for a sample paragraph.
- Had a presentation from the MyPlace people on how to deal with stickly situations.
Tuesday October 7
- Read Nkwala - Chapter 3
- Continue with class discussion on writing a sample paragraph.
