Health: Personality Types

Students built shapes out of marshmallows and toothpicks. Based on the shapes created they were grouped into "animal" personalities. (We all aren't busy beavers.) This activity served to emphasized that we do think and act differently and it is OK to be different.

Instead of the traditional book report the students are provided an opportunity to hold an in-depth discussion with their peers about a book that they have read in the relaxed setting of a "novel cafe" created inside their classroom.
