Ms. Hazel received her BA from the University of Guelph and her BEd from the University of Calgary. She is originally from Ontario and moved to Calgary in 1985.

Ms. Hazel enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her two grown daughters who live in places where there is an abundance of water.

This was her first year at Alexandra Middle School where she is teaching Grade 8 Math and Science.

In January, 2009, Ms. Hazel will be placed on the substitute list when Mrs. Rieder returns.
