Clubs

Students have numerous opportunities to become actively involved in a variety of organized clubs and groups in addition to the many sports teams that operate at Alexandra.

While some clubs have an established tradition at our school others are created when there has been an expression of student interest and the students have approached a teacher to act as their advisor.

Some groups are seasonal such as the Science Club (Science Fair focus) and Performers Club, others exist when there is sufficient student interest.

Art Club

Art Club is a relatively new group and was established during the 2009-2010 school year when a group of students wanted to share their artistic talents with others. Students are encouraged to experiment with different mediums and have fun creating art.

The Student Council represents the collective voice and action of the student body. All students who attend Alexandra Middle School are automatically members of the Student Council. The Student Council provides advice to the school's administration and to the student body as a whole. The Student Council undertakes special projects that serve to make a great school even better.

Work-Out Club

Students, who commit to attending when they can, benefit a great deal from the work-out experience. The goal is to build a muscle base that each student can use to further develop themselves as an athlete. Students can attend according to their own schedules, as we do not want to interfere with any other commitments they may already have. Traditionally the groups meets three times a week. There is a $10.00 fee which will be used to help purchase additional equipment.

This group accesses the weight training facilities at Medicine Hat High School. They meet in the gym at Alexandra after school and then the students will walk over as a group. Once they have developed a muscle base, they work on cross training using the gym at Alexandra.
