Description Dear Grade Six Students and Parents of Connaught, Crestwood, Elm Street,
George Davison, Herald, River Heights, Ross Glen and Southview Schools; and Grade 7 Students and Parents who maybe moving into our area for the 2010-2011 school year:

The staff of Alexandra Middle School is beginning the process of planning for the next school year. Part of this planning includes the registration of new students. We would like to invite you and your parents to attend an Orientation and Information Evening at Alexandra beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9th in the gymnasium.

Alexandra is a middle school, serving the needs of grade 7 and 8 students for over 100 years in a fully modernized facility. In keeping with our middle school philosophy we offer a number of complementary paths to broaden the experiences of the middle level learner and to provide a base for their high school decisions. Courses that we offer to families include Medicine Hat’s first Sports Performance Option (both Baseball and/or Hockey Academies), an extremely popular Band program and four full size CTS labs offering Foods, Information Technology, Visual Communications, and Construction Technology. Please visit our school’s website (http://www.alexandraschool.ca) “Registration” section for more information about our school and it programs.

Our Orientation Evening will help students and parents gain a better understanding of the programs and school life at Alexandra. Since this will be the only visit that most parents will be making to our school before fall, it is very important both students and parents attend. The information shared at this evening’s presentation will help with the completion of the registration package that will be distributed on our visits to the feeder schools.

If you know of students who may be interested in finding out more information about our school but they currently do not attend one of our feeder schools, please invite them to attend this evening session, or contact the school directly at 403-527-8571, or visit our school website.

Alexandra students and staff are very proud of our school. Our staff is concentrating on providing you with a positive, challenging and enjoyable environment. Students, we look forward to meeting you, and helping you plan for your educational future.
