• Corner Stone laid by Honourable Alexander Cameron Rutherford, Alberta's first Premier and Minister of Education
• Alexandra School (held both elementary and senior classes)

1910

• In 1910 Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Prime Minister of Canada (July 11, 1896 - October 6, 1911) officially opens the new school.

January 1911

• First students begin classes in the newly built school.
